I'm an IT analyst by day and also a makeup addict (a typical girlie girl here and not so much of a techno geek). I am a wife and mother of 2 and I also run a small business out of my home. I work hard and play hard. God is my first love, my family is my life; and my favourite things are handbags, shoes, and also crime fiction books (Raymond Chandler, Mario Puzo, James Hardly are just some of my old time favourites). Oh yea, and i dare not fail to mention, beauty products and makeup are also top of the list of my favourite things (I'm so obsessed with makeup brushes and blushes at the moment).I appreciate all aspects of beauty and I have a passion for makeup and beauty products (yep, so I'm repeating myself... wink), not because I lack confidence in my God-given assets. As a matter of fact i believe that one can look and feel wholesome with or without the use of cosmetic enhancements. I opted for a Bachelor of Science degree over beauty qualifications as I believed that will give me some longevity in the commercial scene.
I enjoy spending some alone time with my family. I also like cooking, and the occasional glass of Pinot with one of my favourite authors when I'm less busy.
My main motivation for writing this blog is to make some (hopefully valuable) contribution to the knowledge-base of the beauty and life-style blogosphere. Seeing as am not a qualified Beauty Therapist or Makeup Artist this will be an outlet for me to follow and share my passion with other like-minded individuals in the community. I believe in the value of learning by doing and hopefully by sharing my side of the story I believe I could still learn a thing or two about what I know and love.
