First Look on A Second Touch : October 2012 Festival of Life Workers' Rally London

The Festival of Life is a biannual gospel convention held in London with the main aim of "bringing together people to pray and birth revival in the UK". This one day revival conference hosted by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God- Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Daddy G.O, or Daddy Adeboye as he is fondly called) began in the UK 16 years ago as an offset of the monthly Holy Ghost Service held in Nigeria (West Africa).

In London the Festival of Life (or FOL for short) is usually held in the months of April and October each year.
The theme for the October 2012 meeting is -A Second Touch and this will take place at the Excel Centre Docklands on the 26th (the address and relevant information will be detailed below). The theme alone does make this gathering sound like one that's not to be missed by any christian with the need for empowerment and a desire for revival. This post however is about the the Festival of Life Workers' Rally held last night at the Excel Exhibition Centre. The Workers Rally, (also a biannual event is held prior to and in preparation for the festival of Life) as the name implies is targeted at Volunteers/Workers currently serving in any Redeemed Christian Church of God church parish in the UK.

If I could sum up last nights event with one adjective it will be...- Powerfully awesome (oops..., i guess it must take more than one adjective to some up such an awesome flow of the God's presence. Well I did say "If I could.."). Seriously, if you are a worker / Volunteer at the RCCG in London who was not at this month's Workers' Rally I have one question for you... WHY?
To cut to the chase, the awesome presence of God was evident in every item on last nights agenda and it was simply Powerful. Indeed a much needed second touch from God.

Thank God I was able to get to the venue on time, which meant I did not miss a minute of the whole fiesta. The even started with about 45 minutes of glorious songs of worship lead by the choir, and then, beautiful special number rendered by the Children's Choir (don't fret, I believe the children will do a repeat performance come Friday night). This was swiftly followed with the anticipated drama rendition by The Ancient Landmark (the FoL drama team) and in the words of Pastor Adeboye, their performance last night is the best yet in the history of this event (I'm sure you'd like to know the storyline but I'm afraid I ain't gonna give you no spoilers tut tut) Isn't it lovely how workers get a first screening before the main event?.. wink wink.. (Sorry you'd have to be there Friday the 26th to know the storyline for the drama... if you weren't there yesterday that is... hnmmmn). Anyway, kudos to the team for a spirit-lead drama performance. The drama was enjoyable, and though lacking nothing in terms of the entertainment factor it still delivered the moral of God's sovereignty and the power of true reverence to God which was a resounding message throughout the gathering.

Need I mention the message by the General Overseer? The teaching was based on the theme for the event A Second Touch. Personally, It was just want I needed and I'm already looking forward to a continuation of this at the FoL event. It may help someone to know that the text was taken from the Holy Bible passage in the Book of Luke chapter 17 from verse 11-19 (I might share my thoughts and notes on this passage someday). If you plan on being at the event this Friday (or not) it may be worth going through this passage beforehand (a little preparation never hurts right). Another very significant item on yesterday's agenda was the sharing of the Holy Communion accompanied by prayers of praise and thanksgiving.
The evening ended with yet more praise and thanksgiving to God and praise and thanksgiving to God and ...(I could go on for a while).

I implore you to please attend the Festival of Life meeting. It is absolutely free and you don't have to be a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to attend (you don't event have to be a Christian to attend, just come as you are).

I am so glad I was at the Workers' Rally, and by God's grace I will see you at the Festival of life convention this Friday. Please be there.

My passion for all things beautiful (first post)

A good percentage of my shopping is done online and overtime I've come to  rely on web-based reviews for better descriptions and appraisals of products before making most of my first-time purchases (lets face it manufactures hardly ever give us the gospel about there products). This in some ways has partly encouraged me to create this blog where I will share my take on a few of my best buys also.

With so much already out there and quite a number of topics I'm yearning  to share, I really do hope this blog will help readers in every way possible. This won't only be about beauty tips. I've created this blog with the intention to share with other bloggers/readers a number of topics that appeal to my interests. I see this as an outlet for me to spread the word and rant (yep. Thats the word) about topics I will like to share with like minded individuals. This ranges from makeup and beauty (yes, it does include makeup and lots of it :-), career, lifestyle and so on ... Just things that I'm into (no surprises there I guess).

I enjoy widening my knowledge, and i've found the online community as an extremely useful (and free- lol) tool for this purpose. I have learnt so much through simple online posts and videos; ranging from IT topics (yes thats my professional discipline :- ), to beauty and lifestyle tips, and even the odd gossip. I in return hope my blog can contribute to today's blogosphere not necessarily with firsthand information, but primarily as reflection on my personal experiences and passion for beauty products.

I am neither a beauty editor nor a makeup artist, just an individual with a similar passion for all things beautiful. Welcome to my blog. I like to see it as my personal wiki and I hope you enjoy reading through and learn something new.

Are you a beauty/ lifestyle blogger or reader? Feel free to comment below about the sort of blogs you've found useful.
